about 2230, i called my friends asking for their situation. they're all good. off we go. stopped by at the temerloh RnR for a meal. continued our journey afterward and we reached kuala ibai at around 0530. stopped at the floating masjid, the tengku zaharah masjid for subuh.
after a plate of nasi dagang, we went to the chendering jetty where all the fishermen park their boats. i was surprised to see the size of the boat. huhu. with this kind of boat, i thought i'd be able to handle myself from getting seasick given the condition of the sea is not too wavy.
the journey from the jetty to the fishing spot took 3 hours more or less. it was really sunny when we dropped the anchor and started fishing. the first fish reeled in was a baby grouper. when the water current was starting to change, the tekong started his boat engine again to find another better spot.
later, the current was so fast we couldn't reel real big catches at all. only moderate size of fish are all we had. the sun set. current's got faster. friends started to go missing huhu.. mabok free sudah.. tak payah minom arak.. i stayed awake until around 0400, i was really bored as there was no more fish eating my bait plus the fast moving sea current. so i went into the cabin.
it was about 0900 when my father woke me up because they're starting to take back fish cages they dropped earlier last evening. down here is the video while they were dropping the cages. yes, it was kinda like the one you could see from the discovery channel 551 on astro. the deadliest catch series. but this one is the malaysia version of the bering sea activities. great, innit?
